Sea water pump overhauling report

Subject: Central seawater pump NO.1. Type: SVA 200 MS

Running hours: 2866 Hrs.

Overhauling date: 2001.02. 07.
.
Purpose: For continuous survey.


Procedure:

(1.) Closed inlet & outlet valve, and drained off remaining water, removed motor wiring.
(2.) Removed coupling bolts and bolts fastening the motor bed and the volute casing.
(3.) Removed motor together with motor bed by means of wire rope and tackle. Then land it on plank.
(4.) Removed bolts fastening the volute cover on the volute casing.
(5.) Removed the rotating element together with the volute cover and placed on another plank.
(6.) Checked the rotating element. We found impeller no signs of wearing and corrosion, and another parts same also.
(7.) Measured clearance between impeller and mouth ring by means of feeler gauge--0.35mm.
(8.) Measured clearance between shaft and line bearing by means of micrometer---0.08mm. In the meantime we noted mechanical seal in good condition.
(9.) After examination, assembled in reverse process.
(10.) After assembling, running tested, normal.

Overhauling date: 2001.2. 3.

Purpose: For continuous survey.


Procedure:
(1) Closed inlet & outlet valve, and drained off remaining water, removed motor wiring.
(2) Removed coupling bolts and bolts fastening the motor bed and the volute casing.
(3) Removed motor together with motor bed by means of wire rope and tackle. Then land it on plank.
(4) Removed bolts fastening the volute cover on the volute casing.
(5) Removed the rotating element together with the volute cover and placed on another plank.

Jacket water pump overhauling report

Subject: Jacket water pump NO.1. Type: SVA 100 M

Running hours: 2992 Hrs.

Overhauling date: 2001.02.0 9.
.
Purpose: For continuous survey.


Procedure:

(1) Closed inlet & outlet valve, and drained off remaining water, removed motor wiring.
(2) Removed coupling bolts and bolts fastening the motor bed and the volute casing.
(3) Removed motor together with motor bed by means of wire rope and tackle. Then land it on plank.
(4) Removed bolts fastening the volute cover on the volute casing.
(5) Removed the rotating element together with the volute cover and placed on another plank.
(6) Checked the rotating element. We found impeller no signs of wearing and corrosion, and another parts same also.

Feed water pump overhauling report

Subject: NO.1 feed water pump. Type: SHQ 50M

Running hours: 500 Hrs.

Overhauling date: 2001.02.11.
Purpose: For continuous survey.


Procedure:
(1.) Closed inlet & outlet valve, and drained off remaining water.
(2.) Removed coupling bolts.
(3.) Remove the motor fastening bolts and motor.
(4.) Remove the volute cover and take out the impeller nut and the impeller.
(5.) Take off bolts which fasten bracket to common bedplate.
(6.) Remove the fixing bolts of the volute casing and the volute cover, and remove the main parts including the rotor from the volute casing.
(7.) Checked the rotating element. We found impeller no signs of wearing and corrosion, and another parts same also.
(8.) Measured clearance between impeller and mouth ring by means of feeler gauge----0.08mm.
(9.) Measured clearance between intermediate sleeve and casing ring by means of micrometer.---0.08mm. In the meantime we noted mechanical seal and ball bearing in good condition.
(10.) After cleanse each part thoroughly, assembled in reverse process.
(11.) After assembling, running tested, normal.

F.O. Purifier annual survey report.
Subject: F.O. purifier NO. 1. Type: OSC.15-0136-067
Running hours: 3477Hrs. SERIAL NO: 9001-199
Overhauling date: 2001.01.06.
Purpose: For continuous survey

At the time of on duty checking, we sounded noise from FO. Purifier NO.1 bearing chamber, so we decided to overhauled it. Just then, we thought of overhauling work could be together to do with annual survey.

Procedure:
(1.) Disconnected water feed line and dismounted handle connection piece. Then, unscrew fastening bolts.
(2.) Unscrew small lock ring with hook wrench (left-hand thread), and removed centripetal pump and spacer ring.
(3.) Using pressure tools, then, unscrewed lock ring and removed it.
(4.) Lift off bowl top, removed separating disk.
(5.) Unscrew the hex head screw from the spindle and removed it.
(6.) Using the assembling device, lift out the sliding piston.
(7.) Lift the bowl bottom out of the frame.
(8.) Pull out operating –feeding device together with the hose and put it aside, and removed spindle cap.
(9.) Unscrew Allen screws from neck bearing protection cap and removed it out of frame.
(10.) Unscrew the motor fastening bolts and given a slight movement, then, taken off the driving belt.
(11.) Pull spindle with fitted ball bearing out of the frame.
(12.) Checked every part and cleaned it. Renewed worn parts and hardened O-rings.
(13.) After the examination, assembled it in reverse process.
(14.) Renewed bearing chamber oil.

Remarks:
Damaged part: neck bearing. Part number: 0011-6208-000
Hardened O-ring quantity: 2. Part number: 0007-2421-750
0007-2608-750

L.O. Purifier annual survey report.

Subject: L.O. purifier NO. 1. Type: OSC.5-096-066
Running hours: 4029Hrs. SERIAL NO: 9001-201.
Overhauling date: 2001.01.31.
Purpose: For continuous survey


Procedure:

1. Disconnected water feed line and dismounted handle connection piece. Then, unscrew fastening bolts.
2. Unscrew small lock ring with hook wrench (left-hand thread), and removed centripetal pump and spacer ring.
3. Unscrewed lock ring (left –hand thread) and removed it.
4. Lift off bowl top, removed separating disk.
5. Unscrew the hex head screw from the spindle and removed it.
6. Using the assembling device, lift out the sliding piston.
7. Lift the bowl bottom out of the frame.
8. Checked every part and cleaned it. No hardened O-rings and worn parts fund.
9. Drained gear case oil, inspected driving gear and worm shaft. No worn sign fund, then, renewed oil.
10. After the examination, assembled it in reverse process.

F.O. CIRCULATING PUMP OVERHAULING REPORT.

Subject: F.O. circulating pump NO.1. Type: HHB-7.5.
Running hours: 3015Hrs.
Overhauling date: 2001. 02. 01.
Purpose: For continuous survey.

Procedure:

(1.) Closed inlet & outlet valves, and removed coupling bolts. Unscrew motor
fastening bolts, and removed motor from bedplate.
(2.) Unscrew fastening bolts of gland packing and side cover both ahead and after.
(3.) Pulled out driving shaft, and placed it to plank.
(4.) Pulled out driven shaft, and placed it to the same plank.
(5.) Cleaned each part and cleaned gear casing.
(6.) Examined for mating gear in normal condition.
(7.) Remade gaskets for both side covers.
(8.) Assembled it in reverse process and renewed gland packing.

M/E. CYL. NO.4 PISTON LIFT OUT REPORT.
Subject : M/E type: 6S50MC.
Running hours: 4238
Overhauling date: 2001.3.01.
Overhauled CYL. unit : NO.4.
Purpose: for continuous survey.
Procedure:
(1.) Close the inlet & outlet valves for cooling water and drained it.
(2.) Shut off control air supply and safety air supply, also exhaust valve sealing air supply.
(3.) Engage Turning gear and turn engine until NO.4 CYL. Piston to BDC position.
(4.) Remove CYL. cover attachment, such as cooling water pipe, air pipe fuel pipe. And disconnect intermediate pipe from exhaust valve.
(5.) Unscrew CYL. cover mounting nuts by means of hydraulic jacks.
(6.) Hook the engine room crane on to the lifting attachment on top of exhaust valve, lift away the CYL. cover complete and land it on wooden planks.
(7.) Unscrew piston rod mounting studs, disconnect telescopic pipe and suspend it on upper flange by the special tool.
(8.) Mount the two distance pieces on the piston rod foot for protecting the lower scraper ring and for guide the stuffing box then turn the engine until the piston to TDC.
(9.) Clean the lifting groove if the piston crown and mount the lifting tool, then lift out and land the piston with stuffing box in the support placed beforehand over one of the opening in the platform.
(10.) Remove piston ring by means of special tool, and full clean piston with brush.
(11.) Clean CYL. liner and measure it, clean piston ring and measure ring gap, and vertical clearance.
(12.) Clean piston stuffing box.
(13.) Clean fuel valve and test atomizing, and check exhaust valve in good condition.
(14.) After finish cleaning and measuring, assemble each part in reverse process.

Remark: piston ring gap: (1) 4.5; (2) 4.5; (3) 5.0; (4) 5.0.
Piston ring vertical clearance: (1). 0.32; (2) 0.32; (3) 0.30; (4) 0.30.
Piston rod mounting tightness torque: 430 NM.
Cylinder liner measuring record: Back and forth(mm): 500.08 ; 500.08
500.13; 500.15.
Left and right(mm): 500.08; 500.09
500.17; 500.18
Cylinder cover nuts tightness hydraulic pressure: 900 bar.
