储存期太长,特别是长航线,油、化轮,不够新鲜,补充困难,新鲜蔬菜更少

Basically that's the key point. Tankers will call at remote areas, unlike car carriers, containers and passenger ferries which call at city ports. Expiry of food stuff and replenishment of fresh supply is challenging. Green vegetables could only request a certain amount which needed to be consumed within the week upon received.
