LSA-6 lifeboat equipment---embarkation appliance due date & quantity check

1.       Open the cover and enter into lifeboat

2.       Check all items in the lifeboat according with equipment list and intactness.

3.       Check expire date of all items, change them before out of date,

4.       Check the quality of all items, change them if found the condition of items very bad.     

LSA-7 step and rope check

1.       Open the cover

2.       Check the condition of the step and the rope, such as moisture ,corrosive.

3.       Dry it out by the sun.

4.       Make sure the cover properly secured.

LSA-8 release gear

1.       Check the boat engine in good condition when swung out the lifeboat

2.       Check the gripe gear, remo-control wire, arm lock gear, suspension gear in good condition

3.       Greased them if needed.

4.       Make sure the cover of boat engine properly secured.

1.       Checked by visual.

2.       Chipping and painting if needed.

2.       Chipping and painting and grease up if needed.

Em’cy fire pump operation test

1.       Open the inlet and outlet valve.

2.       Start the emergency fire pump.

Fire fighting equipment check

1.       Portable CO2 extinguishers were inspected, weighed and hoses and horns checked

2.       Portable Dry chemical fire extinguishers were inspected, powder fluffed, hoses and nozzles checked. Cartridges were weighted and seal disc checked on cartridge operated units.

3.       Portable Foam fire extinguishers (type: AFFF, AB foam) were inspected, hoses and nozzles checked, empted, cleaned and recharged with new foam. Cartridges were weighted and seal disc checked on cartridge operated units. Gauges were checked for correct pressure on stored pressure units.

4.       Water extinguishers were inspected, hose and nozzles checked.

5.       Semi-portable equipment included dry chemical and foam were inspected. A visual check of the outer shell were completed. Valves were operated. Hoses un-racked, blown clear and re-racked.

Fire detection & alarm system operation test

1.       Check all smoke detector by sample smoke gas, until the red light of the smoke detector on, and then the alarm sound.

2.       Check all thermal detector by fire on the medal flake, until the red light of the smoke detector on, and then the alarm sound.

3.       Check all fire detector by fire near them, until the red light of the smoke detector on, and then the alarm sound.

4.       Reset all fire detector and fire panel after test

Dry chemical powder, operation test.

1.           Check operating instructions permanently posted.

2.           Check all cylinders properly stowed and secured.

3.           Check cylinders for leakage (by liquid drip marks around neck, joints, etc.).

4.           Check cylinders, pilot bottles, tubes, pipes, valves, discharging hoses, discharging guns, etc. for deformation, corrosion or damage.

5.           Ensure discharging gun lever and hose inlet valve operating freely.

6.           Check doors of dry powder hose boxes and pilot cylinders in good condition and free from leakage.

EEBD operation test

Air breathing apparatus

1.       Check proper functioning and tightness of the filling valve

2.       Check the intake filter

3.       Check tightness of ‘O’ Ring

4.       Check ‘V’ belt tension and condition

5.       Check ‘0’ position of the pressure gauge when depressurised.

6.       Check valve head bolts and pressure studs

7.       Check lubrication oil level

Water spray remote control system operation test

1.       Open the cover of remote control box

2.       start and test

Fireman outfit

      Self lighting light check lighting

1.       Open the cover

2.       Inspect visually to ensure the casing has not swollen and that no component parts are missing or damaged

3.       Test the equipment electrically by test hole using a single cell

4.       Check the lanyard linked to lifebuoy

      Self lighting light change battery

1.       After checking the lighting, if illumination condition is not good

2.       Replace a self lighting light.
